such an approach might teach them everything about the language's syntax but nothing about its semantics.. but i guess deciphering that would be a lot easier once they can identify the structural components of the sentences

this is the author in question - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Stewart_(mathematician) .. his book was actually pretty good and I could use it for about 3 classes in my calc sequence.. pretty good value for money

wow.. this is really cool.. so unlike wolfram alpha, which is painstakingly gathering data from different sources themselves, google might be using this to let users give them the data (assuming they choose to make it public)

u can use 'window decoration' and 'window rules' menus in compiz to make that ugly titlebar disappear and keep chrome always maximized.. looks nicer that way

most schools in urban india and a large number of the rest are 'english-medium'.. which means i learnt math in math class (in english) and learnt to count in hindi in hindi class.. but never had to solve a math problem in hindi i am current

the first screen i see when i get to this page gives me no indication of its purpose.. only when i scroll down by half a page do i see any text.. dunno how that is considered good design
