If people dislike receiving that email so much that they report it as spam, it's spam. Maybe if enough scummy companies have to mess about getting de-blacklisted, they might reevaluate whether their emails serve their customers, themse

Travelling at any interstellar velocity seems to also be so, because even pretty tiny dust specks can take out a space ship at appreciable fractions of c. So you'd need extremely good radar to avoid/deflect/destroy it (and yo

Speaking of, whatever happened to that federated(?) ID thing where you are given the choice of several companies like Experian to validate your identity? I signed up years ago to do one thing and never used it since. Always seemed a bit odd

It's quite amazing that a few hundred ksloc of Javascript gluing together a bunch of npm packages can be valued on the same order of magnitude (in the billions) as a multi-decade scientific/heavy engineering undertaking.

The Iraq Museum in Baghdad was looted in 2003 (and the artifacts that were not recovered presumably sold to collectors), the Delhi Natural History museum burned to the ground in 2016 (total collection loss) and the Brazil National Museum bu
