The minimum charge argument is bogus. If I ordered a $20 meal by myself, 1 * ($0.30 + 3%) is acceptable, but if me and my friends order five $20 meals, 5 * ($0.30 + 3%) is suddenly unacceptable.

Refusal to split checks irks me every time. So what if they pay a fee per transaction? If I go grocery shopping with my friend, the cashier at Wal-Mart doesn't see that we came together and force us to combine our orders. Why are restaurant

Tough to read. The points about Foursquare's supposed lack of business model has nothing to do with game mechanics. Game mechanics is about fostering user engagement. A less attention-grabbing headline might have been "Game mechanics is no

Absolutely not. I think as a rule of thumb, people should present the most credible sources they can find.

While CNN is abysmal most of the time, I do have to question the site's use of the Chinese media as a comparison point. I like the idea of criticizing our media, but let's not allow superficial headline pages determine that an outlet is goo

Olmert is a political opponent of Netanyahu. He's also about to get convicted of supposedly the most serious corruption charges in Israeli history. I wouldn't call him a paragon of credibility.

700+ votes is ridiculous. But compare those 700 votes on a single post to all the votes for posts calling Steve Jobs a crazy loon for the iPhone SDK TOS fiasco.

South Park parodies stupid and foolish behavior. Being massacred is not stupid nor foolish, it is tragic. A completely unbalanced, bastardized form of political correctness is quite foolish and stupid.

Almost all of Greenwald's counterpoints referred to situations in which public resources were involved: public funding of an art exhibition, public funding of a play via a university, use of public airwaves. What's somewhat frightening abou

The best part of South Park exemplifying the double standard is at the end of the Cartoon Wars episodes where they show Jesus and the American flag in a pretty vulgar scene. I'm sure Comedy Central received plenty of complaints from offende
