He did the Nazi salute twice on stage. He shared anti-semitic propaganda on X, unbanned known nazis, openly campaigned for AfD, a party that has actual Nazis in its ranks, renamed his AI chatbot Mecha Hitler. The list goes on. He is very mu

I’ve been writing Ruby profesionally for over a decade and while the writing has been on the wall for almost the entire time, it’s more certain than ever that Ruby is on its last legs. Big legacy companies who have invested heavily into Rub

About 77 million people voted for Trump in 2024, that is 22% of the US population. He is actually far more unpopular than people think.

It's not about green policies, it's about Germany getting rid of its nuclear reactors after Fukushima and getting addicted to cheap Russian gas. Now that the latter is verboten their entire industry is in shambles. This is all Mer

I've bought a Skoda after owning VW in the past and couldn't be happier. 80% (probably 95% for the things I actually care about) of what VW offers for almost 50% less.

Here's just one survey: https://survey.stackoverflow.co/2024/technology#1-integrated... showing how unpopular Emacs is. It has a lot of mindshare among greybeards but very few people actually use it.

I don't agree, endless music from faceless artists have made everything weightless and interchangeable, the never ending stream of recommended artists means that clicking next is more exciting than actually listening to something. I re

Don’t forget Coffeescript. Just recently I worked at a company that was still postponing porting their Coffescript code, only new code was using Vue.

I couldn’t agree more, I’ve worked with Ruby/Rails for the past 10 years, and the youngest codebase I saw was 5 years old at that point. I did work on greenfield Rails apps but they were API only “microservices” so none of this FE stuf

Well the MEAP just started, 3 chapters are complete and the rest will follow probably next year. IMO it’s a bet: Zig stays stable enough and this will be _the_ Zig book for a while. Should the bet not pay off it still cements the author as

There might not be a Democratic retaliation anytime soon. Orban has been in power for 15 years in Hungary, and Trump is adopting a lot of his playbook. In addition, Trump also has a paramilitary force.
