Somehow I feel like the audio quality and build quality is not going to be as good as the companies that actually make headphones for a living Audio quality? Maybe not. Although it probably depends on how you precisely define audio qualit

I have this issue from time to time. But I discovered that changing the volume slightly solves it. It seems the problem is not that one AirPod is not connected, but that for some reason the volume is turned all the way down on.

I love that man pages exist, and I get that they predate hypertext, but to me it’s always seemed like a glaring omission that individual man pages don’t link to each other. So much so that for a long while I assumed that they did and that I

Public opinion is what translates into political support (or lack of support) for military action. I don't agree that these things are as independent as you suggest. Sure, but let's not lose sight of the specifics of what we

In China Apple allows iCloud infrastructure to be managed by Chinese companies (presumably so they can do bulk collection on user data/message backups). I agree. This absolutely fits the bill. For Apple, it’s either accept this arran

I read the article you linked to, and the only thing in it that had a whiff of “willing to give user’s data to governments” is the thing about Apple relying in China on data from a Chinese company for information about malicious sites (inst

In the Hey case it does seem like Apple was simply applying it’s rules, and DHH didn’t quite understand them. I was far from simply applying the rules . The only documented rule they were applying was the one, which states that you must

But what you're describing, is not actually Apple's stance. Apple is fine with apps providing their own payment solutions, as long as what those apps are selling is not digital goods. There are plenty of apps for buying clothes, g

The gospel of separating styling from content comes from an era when most web sites were comprised of collections of hand crafted HTML documents, when it was a pain to make site wide changes to styling because it meant updating each of thes

I suppose it does. In the same way that using your gmail address to sign up for anything cements you to Google. But unless Apple or Google suddenly go out of business, I have a hard time seeing a problem with this.
