This guy ended up with brain damage most likely from the treatment. If that's part of the cure then I'm not sure it's worth it.

It's an interesting question and I don't feel that article really does it justice. I also have no idea why you would lump different source countries together when the difference between moving from the US to Aus and moving from India to Aus

I don't see the point of having a no procrastination setting on Hackernews if irresponsible people link to captivating etexts like Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality. That's book is really grabbing me at the moment.

I think his point was that this isn't reddit and the general consensus is to avoid creating punful comment threads. Might be wrong and misinterpreting.

I think really this should be titled, 'How hard is moving an object in space, in principle'. For me space travel involves humans in space and that's really difficult. Think about being in a little bubble of air surrounded by hard vacuum th

Perhaps if somebody dies during open heart surgery in India their family doesn't sue the doctor for malpractice? It was good to see the article mentioning that the quality/success rate is as good as the US.

I think your example is 100% wrong. I think you've conjured the word 'ordinary' out of the air and made up an example that supports your made up word. This book like all children's books is a way for parents to put something into their chi

Friday afternoon and I'm sharing the thought that jumped into my head. Facebook is losing features! Has anyone else noticed? Facebook is throwing out stuff. I miss some of them but they aren't doing badly so far. What do others think?

I think that it's obvious that the work culture at Apple is not one of suggesting that you leave at 5:30pm. It takes an effort by management to prevent working hours from ballooning out when people are working on long projects. It's very ob

Yes. Recruiters are incentivized only to listen to Managers. They are the ones with the money. Oh I feel dirty... I really don't think incentivize is a word.

Having spent a 3mth contract working on the IT systems for a decent sized IT recruiting company I can tell you that recruiters get rewarded for calling managers and nothing for calling and talking to candidates. And I find it hard to beli

"You'll start receiving your daily lessons tomorrow?" That's a bit condescending to my ears? Might want to work on that tone. You don't want to imply that you're giving something to people that they should be grateful for. I guess you'd b

Can I ask a question back? You were obviously in a UK startup. Why don't you want to invest in the UK? Not judging here. Just curious as I'm scoping out the startup 'scene' in London.
