Off the top of my head I know you can reenable specific things such as JavaScript for individual web pages. Probably the same is possible with fonts.

The biggest issue with signal is the forced reveal of your phone number. There are several good alternatives. Wickr and session come to mind.

I think their point was that Boeing might be charging a premium as they will no longer service the plane. However, I don't think this is the case, the cost probably has to do more with the specificity and overall data included.
