Everything is subject to supply and demand. Why would those four things not be? Even if the money was coming from the government they would all still be subject to supply and demand. Even if money didn't exist those things would all be

Unless you as an individual are somehow more equipped to deal with emergencies than camp staff, I'm not sure being reachable would make any difference. I would hope in a real emergency, the first call would be to the appropriate emerge

Well it used to be a game engine. It was on people's radar because the devs had previous success with a different game engine and they wrote fairly technical dev blogs about the process.

I think gp is saying that since it switch from mono to core before you will be able to finish a game, you might have a bad time when they switch implementations.

There has to be some embellishing of the numbers. It's highly improbable that at 322 pounds someone could eat 1000 calories per day (his claim) and be at a 2800 calorie deficit with zero exercise. I'm not saying it's not true

I think it looks pretty cool, and I agree with gp that it's sad people are so caught up in some weird hatred for watch enthusiasts that they can't appreciate the engineering.

Yes you could film in both of those situations. The law specifically lists law enforcement activities as making an arrest, questioning suspects, and dealing with emotional situations (edit: specifically emotional or disturbed person exhibit

I learned c++ and rust around the same time. Even though c++ was more difficult in every single aspect, I have used it over rust in every project since. Everything about rust was great. Pattern matching, enums, result types; I could go on f

I suspect at least a few people displaced by Chernobyl or Fukushima hold the position of anti-nuclear and acknowledge climate change. I would argue yes, you can rationally arrive at that stance.

It is whatever you perceive it to be. Family life is not like that for everyone, and money is definitely not the only reason.

I work in III/V semiconductors. The product development goes like: identify need, design, attempt a proof of concept, DoEs to determine manufacturing costs/viability, repeat until you have a statistically controlled viable proces

I've been a wannabe developer since I graduated college with a BS in physics. I taught myself C#, python, and some C++, for a few different things I was interested in. I'm generally interested in tech hardware and computer science

Rust probably had a fairly small "language footprint" when it was only a few years old with no production use cases as well. I've used both in some small hobby projects. I like writing zig significantly more than rust, but we

I'm not sure how it's ignorant. I sort of prefer the C/C++ way of using/packaging libs. I wouldn't want it with higher level languages like C# or python, but a central repository isn't great in my opinion. Rust

I don't watch or read news, and I feel pretty knowledgeable about my environment. I feel that if I actually engage in my community I am much more plugged in to my environment than if I try to read about it on the news.
