Are you comparing the official multipage version? Also, the official one has a lot of extra JS features like side-boxes, inline comments, commit messages, etc...

Yep, and one of them is to apparently make your site load, then disappear when JavaScript is disabled. Classy way to throw away business...

Right, you can be "average", but "average" in CS lies between "Programmers" and "Senior Citizens". Average programmers aren't really programmers, they're just people who combine prewritten chunks of code without proper understanding of i

I know this attitude won't win very many friends, but I wouldn't accept a position where I wasn't asked to write code during the interview. I'm going to be writing code for money and they don't want me to prove that I can before hand? That

Most users will have the javascript in their cache anyway, so they won't even be hitting the CDN. Also, why not check to see if the object exists before doing anything else? <script id="jquery" src="http://code.google.com/jquery.j

<sarcasm> Sure, let's just start to omit ending tags from HTML. Who cares about older browsers that will fail to properly render our sites. I'm sure that every business and user keeps their browsers up to date. </sarcasm>

I'm aware of those problems, however I'm trying to confirm if the above is the same as what I should be trying to decode. It's a waste of time to decode the wrong string.

Given that people on HM should be fine with decoding from base64, we're trying to break this code: @(2=(!+Y0NTI;C+U;Y-LV,(73*DP#P&3FNS.#%<O<)H3O4=-DX;FE(&:-'40 #?)%AB8;P#@2<!ZNCSS$?=H*7EJ,!"ULVF:6IF'J "2GFT*FH,

Pretty cool, the only thing I can think of is letting the user know when the form isn't submitted, and telling them what the app will do once it's back online.

I don't know Japanese, but does that string really translate to the equivalent of "from scratch"? I know that Google Translate has had issues. Also, what does that phrase mean in the context of Japanese? Does "from scratch" in Japanese me

I broke it. I was the "DROP TABLES" guy, and you'll want to sanitize the text before it goes into the db. I typed "; DROP TABLE `users`; Which made every person stop moving, and then on page reload nothing happens. (So the `users

Well, I for one am glad that I learned from articles like this. It's a hell of a lot easier to read discussion from "real programmers" and learn from them. Now that I'm in college stuff like this is second nature.
