This is a collection of lessons that have really impacted the way I program. It would be great to have some additions here!

I think ElixirScript has more legs. RedScript was just a project I tinkered with 2 years ago and recently refreshed it post ES6 era and after getting into 'functiona' programming. RedScript is more like CoffeeScript and ElixirScri

Oh wow Livescript snuck past me. However I don't care for the bracket-less syntax. For some reason, it's always hard to read quickly. I think this is why I never could get behind Elm. ElixirScript looks like it will be nice in tim

I think more cores is the future. Elixir makes it easy (and pragmatic) to utilize all cores. You can write it without parallelism and add it back in later when needed.

Elixir has really changed the way I code in other languages for the better... even in JS. Now I tend to think of programming as a series of transformations and heavily use the underscore chain/pipe feature to mimic Elixir's pipes,

I've love to hear feedback on what people think about using Meteor for the backend. Meteor has some cons but the pros outweigh it for most of my projects.

One of HTML's largest flaws is speed. Can't we work on making the DOM faster?

I wouldn't quite call it spaghetti code... You can still structure things into models, views, controllers, and view controllers (event handlers that pass data to controllers basically). Having a component API isn't really a deal b

Currently you could construct this statically (actually we used to host on S3), but we're building out the desktop app at the same time, so it made sense to host the blog on the same app. This should be rendering HTML server side soon.

For sure. It's on the back burner! In the near future it should render all of the html on the server side to eliminate this.

Sorry about that. In retrospect I should have hid it until that was ready. In the near future we'll have a desktop site to log into and use as well as mobile. In the mean time you can also signup in the app. Thanks for the heads up!

Yes, we are charging 5k for a job placement, and then kicking back 1k to the person getting hired and $500 to a referral. There's a few vectors for potential scamming but it's going to be closely monitored anyhow. If we can't
