In my experience, Comp Sci grads are among the best prepared employees that we hire for programming careers. It's a great general-purpose education for the kind of work we do, although it's no substitute for hard-gained experience.

Bitcoin is a deflationary currency since it's supply is limited. Doesn't that mean that it's expected to rise in price? This also ends up being the currency's downfall, since there's an incentive to hoard it rather than spend it.

You need a way to spawn threads. There may be a way to implement this in the main browser event loop but I have yet to think of a way.

Check out the github repo. I wrote a worker.js "polyfill" that's meant to emulate web workers for node. I want to apply this to the browser at some point but for now there are hard dependencies on Worker and URL.

I've never liked the idea of web based IDE's. Maybe in a few years the technology stack will be ready for it, but I feel like whenever somebody tries this the solution always ends up feeling really rough around the edges.
