What's the point in launching polished features that nobody wants? Much better to release unpolished/limited features to a set of users and solicit feedback on what they're really after. Then you can release more polished/complete features

It is but my hypothesis is that most products are aimed for large businesses and not easy to use/buy for smaller companies (I could still be wrong - we'll see).

More of a side project than a weekend project but I'm working on http://twitcherhq.com - a social media analytics and monitoring tool.

I'd be interested to know what the typical conversion rate people see when sending customers to a landing page from adwords? I suppose it's probably too complicated to have a "typical value". I'm currently seeing about a 10% conversion rate

I tried out the app on my way home, I thought it was slick and quite fun but I don't get to see anyone else's routes around London, as far as I could see. Is it just because no one else has used it or because you guys have to update the app

I see that you're planning to sell posters and maps, interesting... Have you managed to speak to anyone, which suggested people would like to buy these?

I think I like the idea, in a novelty sense, but I can't see an obvious business model? Maybe it doesn't matter and it's just for fun. I presume there's no data for any other cities because there's no one using the app anywhere else? I'll t

Thank you, I will. These are interesting suggestions, I've been hyper focused on "social", "analytics" and "metrics" so far. I should broaden my perspective.

Anyone use a "smart TV" or whatever the internet enabled TVs are called? I don't currently stream to my TV in a sensible manner and I can't work out whether an Apple TV + a TV will be worth the extra cost over a TV with streaming built in?

Hard to find, unfortunately, but NET-A-PORTER (disclaimer: I work there) also donated $10,000. As well as LOVEFiLM, Oslo.pm, and Dijkmat donating various amounts. Source: http://www.perlfoundation.org/previous_homepage_news

Absolutely lovely design, great job! One point: it wasn't immediately obvious to me that the right hand logo was a clickable logo back to the homepage. .net as TLD for a webapp feels a bit odd too but it's probably fine for beta.
