Based on my perception of where US is now in terms of government, where its going and how seriously people are taking what is happening, I don't plan on going anywhere near it today or in the ~10 years to come. That is an optimistic ti

As a person born in a country on the very same trajectory Trump is pushing US into now, let me share some insights written in our blood with you. In my country, there were people who thought like you, thinking you can give them an inch and

Cranelift is only intended for debug builds, there is nothing stopping you from using it for release builds but — to the best of my knowledge — you get noticeably degraded runtime performance if you go that way.

I recently tried using cranelift on a monorepo with a bunch of crates, and it is nothing short of amazing. Nothing broke and workspace build time went from a minute and a half to a half of a second!

I've been coming to similar conclusions, but trying to change human nature is an impossible task. Throughout history we saw time and time again how any attempt at it was met with overwhelming rejection. Even in movies there are plenty

I stumbled upon this issue myself when designing prompts for agentic systems and got mad at the lack of tools to support this flow, so I built one myself! I called it Experiment, it allows easy conversation forking and editing while retaini

Okay, as you yourself said, dismantled means taking apart. Here's a dictionary definition of it: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/take-apa... . SSA actually is a great example of this happen

So is it that you fail to see how any of the actions mentioned in the "AI slop" can result in lack of access to safety nets by certain population groups, or do you merely assign no value to those specific nets or those specific po

This dumb bothsiderism take is exactly the reason for the shitstorm hitting US right now. People really need to stop sane washing everything he says and try to actually have an objective glance at him and take him for who he is: a con man.

Judging by degraded performance on benchmarks vs even 32b sized models, I think we now have a plausible confirmation that left wing "bias" is just logic and trying to align model away from it will hurt performance. Thanks Zuck for

While it's true that running code in isomorphic manner by definition gives you more footguns, you can mitigate it somewhat if you architect the framework with that in mind. In rust land for example, you can just not implement "Ser

There is no tension. ActivityPub and its creator are well-aligned with the community. What you you are looking for is nostr, and if you find it more appealing you are free to choose it, that’s the beauty of open source.

Thank you! Indeed, UX and design needs some work. One of the avenues I wanted to explore in the future that may be related to making efficient use of space is showing multiple chats side-by-side to make differences between them pop out. By
