Check out Aubagne, it is too freaking nice there. But yeah, as far as work goes, make sure you are doing remote stuff or willing to sell something to traditional companies.

Chile and Ecuador would be the countries with the best platform for that kind of thing. Check startupchile.org and Ecuador's city of knowledge website http://www.yachay.gob.ec Uruguay for some reason is home to one of the m

Your logic is not sound though. Some people are not paying a dime while others pay more. And by far you are using way more road that you are able to afford, just like what happens with shared hosting. More importantly, according to your def

Well, it depends on what kind of beginners you are talking about. POVRAY for learning computer graphics programming is great actually. Like, learning POVRAY and then jumping ship to OpenGL code or something. Besides, it's not like the

Ino summarized most of the points that are good about 3dsmax, but I do believe character rigging for instance, is way easier on 3dsmax. The UI is definitely superior IMHO. But yeah, it is overpriced commercial software, so you are way bette

Sorry to sound blunt, but that tutorial is not precisely the best resource you can use. Try this http://gryllus.net/Blender/3D.html instead. Screencasts are always easier for this kind of stuff anyways.

I have used a gaming mouse in every computer I have worked on, company provided or not. I don't know if it looks professional or not, but after using gaming mice, going back to one of the cheap mice just feels wrong. I ended up bringin

Haha, true fact. I felt like I wasted all my learning from the initial versions after they redesigned their UI. Never bothered to learn the new one since I ended up focusing on programming instead. Nevertheless, Blender is a fantastic proje

Good job, tech will makes us free. Besides, I'm pretty sure that if geeks were in charge of both Israel and Palestine, they would just solve their differences on a PvP server, end of story :)

But why bother though? If somehow that network defense comes down because of maintenance or whatnot, you have just tainted your most precious asset out of wanting to save a couple of minutes for securing the connection.

Sounds a lot like translating a web app after it was released. In a company I was working on, we made a commitment to call out strings without gettext as a bug, regardless if it was really was going to be used for a single country/lang

Was trying to avoid self-hosted devops as much since after hosting my own Gitolite server before using bitbucket, I learned to not try to do everything ourselves. The gitolite setup proved to be very functional and nice, after everything wa

Whatever you do, just make sure you always keep a functional free tier. I can tell you that for for us, as far as Bitbucket and Trello is concerned, the free tier is what got us in before purchasing a plan several months later. AWS applies

The one thing I have learned in the computer world after almost two decades on this stuff is that you should never rely on things being constant. Tools will keep changing, and it will be a repeating cycle. I saw it with Delphi, VC6, VB6, Qu

Dude, go read the dev docs. Trello is not vaporware to make a quick profit. They kind of started that as a pet project and even them were impressed that it picked up that quickly. To the point where they had to fall back to some polling cod

Trello is way easier to use though, and free to boot with paid extras. It's kind of like PHP vs Ruby on Rails all over again, where PHP is old and customizable, with RoR you get a cookie cutter workflow that is an industry standard, so

I would never say Github is superior to Bitbucket. I haven't checked if they have changed the rules, but on the startup I was working on, Bitbucket provided superior value by far. They allowed free private repos for teams of up to 5 us

The way I see it, school is like Ruby on Rails while learning yourself is like PHP. The first one gives you the current best practices while the latter is open for you to explore and most likely mess up in the beginning, especially when it
