Are you sure that this will work on an iPad? Just because it's available in the browser doesn't mean it can be used. Take Google docs as an example.

It would be laughable a few years ago that people would view the whole web through a php portal. Now it's just a little ridiculous, but not unimaginable. Can't the world do better than this buggy portal?

There is more at stake than this. The danger for Google is that Microsoft controls the experience of most clients. If Microsoft's services become the standard then this cuts off Google's revenue and kills their business. It's easy to see

I'm not sure that New Labour really identified themselves with being progressive until they felt they needed to attract would-be liberal voters. Labour might have had some progressive policies but was supposed to be a blend I thought: hence

I heard something recently from a colleague about one of these NHS systems. The consultants that were brought in advocated that the system be written in COBOL and with similar technology. Whether this is true or not it. It would be easy to

This pays too much homage to Ant in my opinion. If you were to strip out the XML from Ant what is left is a poorly designed language which has little expressive power. Short of the surface structure of Ant is nothing like Lisp. The Ant comm

With all this talk of flash you would be lead to believe that Adobe are the worst company in the world. I just isn't, they have some really good products that nobody in the industry has managed to copy yet. Let's face it, the reason for A

I don't follow this issue closely but it strikes me as ridiculous. Descent against China's human rights is not exactly something that many people think about all the time unless it affects them directly. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/a

And there was me thinking I wonder if Google has done enough. The competition that search is facing now is fierce. Google was in danger of looking tired against other offerings and a user base can turn against a service quickly.

In certain countries there is law protecting information about people held digitally. My understanding of this legislation is to allow the citizen to access information held on themselves and give them rights over that information. http:/

There may be a legal reason for this, doesn't Apple hold patents on the canvas tag? It's likely to be royalty free in HTML5 though.

Thought this http://arstechnica.com/microsoft/news/2010/03/ie9-standards-... was interesting. It paints Miscrosoft as a company that aims to thoroughly support standards, although what they may be doing is looking for under-specified part

I wasn't advocating holding money in a teapot, just that erosion of wealth is built into the system. I was not also advocating the gold standard, just saying there are other dimensions why some professions have not attracted money. To redu

There's nothing wrong with Mozilla. The browsing consumer has a choice to choose another browser. I happen to think more than one video format in HTML5 is good for the consumer. If H264 does become the dominant format, then there is nothi
