I think you misunderstood my comment? I mostly agree with you, I also read zero hedge, al jazeera and other media whose stance I don't broadly agree with. To me NYT is actually pretty conservative, but YMMV

News has always been propaganda for one side, its just sometimes more or less obvious. Personally I prefer the ones that make it clear where they stand as opposed to subtly influencing you while masquerading as "neutral".

some dumb old troll tweets that someone wrote years ago (and publicly apologized for) shouldn't disqualified them from being a great reporter. hell by that metric basically noone who ever wrote something publicly of any substance is qu

No he's right, there is definitely a difference in pacing for films throughout the decades. Much of the content that Netflix produces however is not made to be shown in a cinema like setting - its something that people put on while doi

I used to be like you but a couple of years ago something clicked and I was able to build a bunch of extremely life changing habits - it took a long while but looking back I'm like a different person. I couldn't really say what l

You can change your personality at any point in time, you don't even need psychedelics for it, just some good old fashioned habits As long as you are still drawing breath it's never too late bud

As someone working in technical support for a long time, this has always been the case. You can have as many extremely detailed and easy to parse gudies, references, etc. there will always be a portion of customers who refuse to read them.

Sadly the recording is pay walled, so I can't comment on that - but my uncle always (+20 years ago) said that Greenland will become a higr fertile continent once the permafrost is gone due to global climate change. I wonder if that is

Amazon is not one app, its hundreds of them bundled in some giant monster. You could easily replicate the store part of it minimally, at its core its just an index of products, a basket and checkout system. There are other parts that make u

That's the koolaid, but seriously I don't really believe it anymore. I only had to do this leg work during university to prove that I can be allowed to try and write code for a living. The grounding as you call it is not required

I don't see why you can't use your approach of writing one function at a time, making it work in the context and then moving on with AI. Sure you can't tell it to do all that in one step but personally I really like not deali

I'm not so sure. I spent A LOT of time writing sorting algo code by hand in university. I spent so much time writing assembly code by hand. So much more time writing instructions for MIPS by hand. (To be fair I did study EE not CS) I

Telling stories is as old as humanity, no machine will ever make storytelling obsolete. It will change it for sure but change is as constant as the waxing and waning of the moon. This was a really entertaining read, do any of you have simi
