Perhaps it would help if you could clarify what you envision a "truly paradigm shifting approach to web dev" might look like? I'm legitimately asking. There's been a near-infinite variety of options tried thus far, bot

Given that the entire Remix team has spent the last several years doing training teaching people how to use React, and building one of the core libraries in the React ecosystem, this seems like a rather off-tangent train of thought and unre

How are you defining "widgets" in this sense, exactly? I'm not quite following what the line of questioning/thinking is here. Like, I could say that React's "components" qualify. Self-encapsulated, reusab

The one-line answer would be: Blitz is an additional abstraction layer on top of Next.js that offers a Rails-style set of conveniences like feature generation, plus a "compile-away" RPC abstraction that hides all data fetching. R

The first issue here is that _nothing like `GtkTreeView` is built into JavaScript or the browser_. Your typical classical desktop framework (Swing, Qt, wxWidgets, WinForms, Gtk) all have a huge available list of widgets with built-in behavi

This is great feedback, thank you! Appreciate the vote of confidence. To maybe help address your concerns a bit: I totally agree that RTK itself is a layer of abstraction that does hide _some_ of what you're used to with writing Redux

Awesome, glad to hear that's working out well! You can thank Lenz Weber ( @phryneas on Github ) for much of that API design, both the APIs themselves and the TS typing. Yeah, let's just say that `createAsyncThunk`'s use of T

For built-in syntax parsing, yes - those official plugins just told the parser to enable those specific bits of syntax. Actual plugins for non-standard syntax were all real AST visitor-based modifications, though.

Hi, I'm a Redux maintainer. React has always had "state management" built in in the form of component state: `this.setState` in class components, and `useState/useReducer` in function components. Those work just fine.

This post is entirely nonsensical, and I'm confused how something like this ended up on StackOverflow's blog. Language syntax has nothing to do with framework features, and especially things like writing UI components, managing st
