This should disable the start menu web search on Windows 11. It's one of the first .reg tweaks I apply to a new system: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer

Thanks! My .tmux.conf is kinda old, I created it before it was in the base OpenBSD sets. Might need some updates like '#h'. :)

I hope one day Curiosity will be an exhibit in one of the first Martian exploration museums established on the red planet. The rover can stand proudly in warm, cozy structure after decades of research on the brutal surface.

Thanks for sharing your experience. A little off-topic but I'd like to start hosting some personal content, guides/tutorials, etc. Do you still see authentic human traffic on your domains, is it easy to discern? I feel like I miss

Right, only the B650E chipset has official PCIe 5.0 support. The B650 may support it, but not officially. This was the root of the article in my opinion: > The issue may have emerged from the fact that PCIe 5.0 was enabled by default,

I agree. It's not mental illness to make a mistake like this when one doesn't know any better - if anything, it points to gaps in education and that responsibility could fall on either side of the fence.

Yeah, I don't like this inclusion of "mental illness" either. It's like saying "you fell for it and I didn't, therefore, you are faulty and need treatment".

Right. If we define "original" as having no prior influence before creating a work, then it applies neither to humans nor AI. Not to claim this is a perfect watertight definition, but what if we define it like this: * Original = c

Yeah, hidden context is starting to become an issue for me as well. I tried using my corp account to chat with Copilot the other day and it casually dropped my manager and director's names in the chat as an email example. I asked how i

Love bombing can apply in individual, non-group settings too. If you ever come across a person who seems very into you right after meeting, giving gifts, going out of their way, etc. it's possibly love bombing. Once you're hooke

What do you like to use the UniFi controller container for? I've tried hosting the same container before but it never seemed to properly "marry" to my UniFi AP, or it would forget the AP the next day, etc. For now I just use

This is cool but man, it feels like we're pushing more and more complexity into the browser to build webpages that work like desktop apps. Just reading "Chrome Speculation Rules API" makes my skin crawl a bit. We already have

Small update: thinking models also work well. I like that it shows the thinking stream in a fainter style while it generates, then hides it to show the final output when it's ready. The thinking output is still available with a click.

Totally agree. I rarely need to adjust my pf.conf but it's a joy when I do. The syntax is easy to read and I can easily get up to speed on my rules just by paging through the file. FWIW I have the previous edition of the Book of PF on

I don't know this for certain, but I imagine there's some kind of kv store between queries and AI overviews. Maybe they could update certain overviews or redo them with a better model.

I made a checklist to migrate storage from one host to another recently. Like TFA mentions, it ended up being incomplete with some key details missing. But I filled in the gaps as I went and saved the checklist for next time.

I still love using tables in 2025 for webapps designed to run on old browsers. It's easy to render data into them (it's just headers, rows, columns) and they automatically have a cool, functional look (IMO).
