You know I am coming to hate the word "just". Mainly because in modern vernacular it is always used to excuse behaviour that would otherwise be described as wrong. Just is the one word that the normalisation of deviance relies upo

The idea here is you get the c code transpiled verbatim into unsafe rust code. It is your job to then make it safe rust code :). Edit: spelling

I mean that was close to what WeWork was doing.. There was also that real estate start up that lost half a billion in an up market. So yeah I would say you are right on the money.

I'll be honest, I do not expect creativity or outside the box thinking from administrators. Maybe this is the audience here but they are not creatives, they are bureaucrats -- think bogons from hitchhikers guide to the galaxy and you a

How does everyone know everyone's verified public keys? How are they verified? Who does the verification? How do you trust the verifiers? How do you know that person x in the real world has pubkey x?

I think a better analogy is that you requested a document about yourself from the state and a bureaucrat sent you your document and a whole bunch more you didn't ask for that was encoded using pig latin.

Hi, I've been down this road, so yeah, good luck! My advice is keep it simple. Following trends and doing a lot of other things is going to get you side tracked (this happened to me). 1. For dev and prod systems -> for dev its simpl

I didn't say that. Failoverflow gave a talk on how they got Linux working on the ps4. It does not have a lot of the ibm PC compatible parts of x86. What I am getting at is: it is close to a Pc but not. In the ways that matter it is (CP

Having seen what failoverflow had to do to get Linux running on a ps4 I would say you are mostly correct. They are not IBM pc compatible. But for the most part once you get everything working... The difference is negligible.

It has been said elsewhere in this thread, but dude, you are management, not talent. Keep abreast of stuff and the winds of technological change, but hire people to code and get them to make the outcome you want.

I am not a mac developer, but if GNUstep is trying to keep to being source compatible with cocoa as possible, do you need to? Shouldn't the Apple provided dev libraries work too? I could be missing something, and most probably am, bu

Simply, vim, tmux, and rust. I code in the terminal because its easier for me. Rust because frankly, it's tooling makes being productive easy. Cheers
