I often have local changes that I do not want represented in my commit (e.g. that code isn't done yet), so what would I do with those changes? One solution might be to stash them, select files while doing a commit, or otherwise put the

Specifically the GitHub button at the bottom of the page, the GitHub button at the top does work and leads to: https://github.com/medusajs/medusa

Agreed - I got a second phone and can't have Signal on both. It's a weird and off-putting limit that had me rethinking my use of Signal in general. Now I'm using Matrix with a Signal bridge, so the second device is a Matrix c

What would keep a coyote from killing deer (particularly young deer)? I'm not sure where abouts you are, in Eastern Ontario coyotes eat deer. A quick search shows multiple sources that support the same dynamic in various places in the

I won't presume the relative weighting of motivations, there's a notable blog post here [0] that elaborates on Moxie's dislike for federation. E.g.: > So long as federation means stasis while centralization means movement,

That's super cool! I have not gotten anyone else on Matrix, I (and my bridges) am the sole user of the server, and it's my first exposure to the ecosystem. I had basically just set everything up when I saw Beeper's announceme

Mentioned elsewhere, the list of bridges is pretty complete: https://matrix.org/bridges/ , specifically I used https://github.com/tulir/mautrix-signal (and the same author's WhatsApp and SMS b

I found it on Matrix's site[0], direct link is here[1]. It's a bit of a pain to set up initially, particularly in a Docker-Compose deployment, as the containers are created to incrementally build up configuration. > I think we

Yeah, it creates an adversarial relationship which isn't particularly pleasant. E.g. they have no incentive to build functionality to help integrate, nor do they have the same incentive to provide stable integration points. In fact, it

I've been using this as the data source for a Matrix bridge for the better part of a year now. I'm thrilled with it so far! The only worry I have is Signals hostility towards analogous projects, but for the meantime it works for m

Would this be significantly different than desktop apps? It seems like we have decades of experience solving (and failing) to solve this in the desktop world.

There's a dramatic difference between max draw and how much energy it takes to keep everything at a given temperature. Particularly so if heating the bed to a high temperature for ABS or PC or whatever. Looking at the power supply rati

IIRC it's around 120W printing something like PLA. Obviously higher when heating (pretty much maxes out the PSU), and higher steady state when printing other polymers.

I started using this, but my impression of the usability is poor. E.g. I use GitHub both personally and for work, on the one hand containers are awesome because it handles the "staying logged in" really well, but on the other hand

Can you elaborate on specifically what you have that's getting a couple miles? I tried out Meshtastic with a bog standard board exactly as it existed. I carried it down the road and found it got ~500m of reliable range with no obstruct

I haven't written anything up anywhere, but I have a rough outline of it - I can pull it together today and see if it's consumable by others. If you're at all familiar with the tools, they're deployed in their most vanil

Anecdote: I've been running my own Matrix bridges for WhatsApp and Signal (for my personal accounts) and they've been nothing but rock solid. Caveat being that with the pandemic I've exclusively used them at home, they'r
