Somehow I don't see it. I'm going to use a functionally single-tasking OS through a touch interface on a 12 core Mac Pro with dual 27 inch monitors? It seems to me that they are making their full spec OS look a feel a bit more like their

A hierarchy (i.e. a file system) is for many people the most natural way of classifying documents. There are other ways including tagging and search, and maybe those will become powerful and second nature, but right now classification like

I've been wondering/worried what Gatekeeper, sandboxing, and the rise of the Mac App store in general are going to mean for third party plugin type apps, say for instance Native Instruments virtual synth plugins, or photoshop plugins. iOS

Which is why it baffles me that so few people use S/MIME--other than the trending preference for webmail which isn't well suited for encryption. S/MIME is simple to setup on most email clients, and offers encryption of the body of the mail

The stuff that works best for me is the Phillip Glass early crossover stuff (i.e. post-Einstein.) Things like Glasspieces, Dancepieces, 1000 Airplanes on the Roof, The Photographer, and the three *qatsi films. They're minimal enough not t

The problem is its not just who has the most votes, but in the US, companies have a legal obligation to do what is in the best interest of the shareholders (even minority shareholders) over all other claimants. California just created a new

As a member of an enterprise IT, and one that has been involved in out testing and decision making I'd put it down to three things: 1. Android support for Exchange is generally awful. I can't speak for ICS, but many of the android phones w

Actually, for me this is a perfect example--since I hate the combined search/URL bar in chrome. I'm conditioned to type urls in the URL bar, not search queries, and the only matching I want done is against the urls in my history. So inste

This seems unlikely to me for several reasons. First is Apple's "all-in" mentality, which I don't see in many other CE companies. It's the idea that Apple makes it easy to know which products support which features, because, with a few ex

To answer a couple of questions: 1. $2500 is a mid grade violin. I have a 100yo Czech violin that is worth $250. Sears specials for Jr. High students can cost $100. 2. The seller is right that the Label doesn't qualify as intentional coun
