The education discount for the non-retina MBP 13 is (and has been) $200, rather than the $50 for other models around that price. At least now the MBA 13 starts at a lower price after the discount.

Slight correction: quipu was used in Andean South America (e.g. by the Incas), not by the Maya in Mesoamerica.

I have a Geeksphone Keon as my main/only phone. It's not the fastest phone, but fine for my fairly light use, but I think it does have more RAM than the first-gen retail FxOS phones (e.g. ZTE Open). I don't think I'd get

That's always been my suspicion, and it's probably worse the further in time and space you move from Hollywood. So, beyond the most famous examples, older foreign movies will probably never appear.

If they added more older/rarer/foreigner films I'd happily pay more than they charge now (vs. not subscribing currently)!

I've been looking at MEO Cloud[1]. It's by Sapo.pt, a part of Portugal Telecom. I first saw it recommended by Rui Carmo of Tao of Mac[2], who I've generally thought offers good advice. (He also is Portuguese...) And, they off

Isn't it more efficient to have fewer large power plants rather than lots of little power plants (i.e. car engines)? Maybe not with the transmission loss and factoring in the batteries...

I've been using (G)Mail Notifir[1] for a while, and got the current version for free when it first came out. If I hadn't, I'd pay the $3, FWIW. [1]: It was originally called Gmail Notifir.
