The article doesn't seem to suggest either of those being true. Just that if you perform a reset or remove your account you will not be able to login afterwards.

Having to grant location permissions after Chrome updates might be fixed. I previously had the same issue but the latest update was fine.

They aren't charging people different amounts, they're testing waitlist signup interest at different amounts. Presumably once they gauge interest a single level will be applied to everyone.

It seems like you're arguing for my point. Code doesn't typically have external orgs playing roles like health inspectors so health inspector could be removed from the metaphor.
