I would hate to see the day HN allowed any way to bold sections of text. It's way more restful purveying a page of uniformly restrained text.

You reckon? HN gives off almost a courteous Victorian gentlemen's club vibe it seems to me. Blatant astroturfers are given the silent treatment or shown the door.

Good stuff! Especially the ORM. And work on your logs. Tweak the info/error/debug levels so that the log files read nice. Too often we find that a common error/exception will spew hundreds of lines of shite into the log files

If by REST you mean full on HATEOAS then I definitely would not use that as an interview test. Advocates tend to be religious in their intensity, yet few real world APIs are full REST in that sense. Discussions around HATEOAS could be enlig

This is interesting but I don't know how practical it is. The key takeaway is... > The single most important thing is to test your equipment before taking it to Antarctica. This is obvious, but many people don't do it and their

I love this counter-intuitive thinking. A while ago at dinner a friend said she was trying to do the right thing environmentally, but it was just too complex. (The case in point was her wanting an EV but hearing that while the car would be

If you're a smaller organisation, then spending too much time on "what if my private network is not private" will also cause you to struggle. For most people, in most practical scenarios, you have to hang your hat on somethin

Not the OP but to me, as best as I can tell from some self-analyzing, as you get older your brain just doesn't fizz and spark like it did way back when. It works in a different way - more pattern recognition, less raw grunt. Could be b

It's a reasonable conclusion too, when revoking tokens because of a hack/leakage. In these situations human reaction times are involved, which will be at least minutes and maybe hours or days. Having tokens with an expiry of e.g 1
