I’d settle for 1x the sentence of a normal citizen. Right now they can literally get away with murder. Not to mention infractions like drinking and driving and speeding, that they let each other off for.

Not sure why you’re being downvoted. I’m from the south and was taught as a child that the confederates fought for “states rights” and slavery was a subplot. Many years later I realized that was bullshit. I wished I could go back in time an

That’s how I understand it. What disadvantaged groups would be using Zoom for free that law enforcement would want to target? Protest organizers maybe?

That’s because the FBI was investigating them and their buddies. For Trump it’s not about principles, it’s about power and what they can get away with.

That’s a great point. To your point, tackling the root of the problem should address the military hardware issue. I yield the point.

The equipment is not the only problem. But it is a very big problem, and it’s the easiest to solve. So let’s solve it.

Oh right, like I haven’t lived through countless blue screens of death in my time. Before Catalina OSX was the most reliable OS I had ever worked on.

How so? There’d be no penalty for spreading covid. The penalty would come if you spread it by willfully ignoring the current guidelines.

I think we should have a national standard "Covid Danger Rating System," like the Fire Danger Rating system. Track it like the weather. Have the local weather man discuss that regions current Covid Risk rating and what it means. D

Right!? I found dressing “older” actually made me look younger. It looked like I was pretending to be grown up. I kind of embraced a rock/slacker look in my 20s and that worked best. These days I just do the dad look. That works fine.

I always looked about 5 years younger than my age. It sucked when I was young. At 40 it’s not the worst quality, but it also doesn’t help much. So I look 35, big whoop. I did discover wearing my hair long in my 20s made me look a bit older

Oof. I blew my “fun” money in a couple weeks. My mistake was thinking the stock market tracked the economy and would fall on bad news. I was wrong, and learned I don’t know shit about the stock market. Buy and hold. Amen.

That’s bullshit. It’s a statement designed to sound intellectual, but it’s tired and unhelpful. Climate change is a tangible, human made problem, and it can be solved for the betterment of future humans. If we care to.

Kind of glum. How about: the rich are donating to those in need, the coders are creating tools to help others, the tall are handing items to others that can’t reach. Life isn’t fair and we should help others when it is not self destructive.

God I hate this argument. It pops up in every thread about climate change. Yes, yes, we know. The "Earth" is a rock, space, mater, existentialism, George Carlin thinks the earth wants plastic, blah, blah, blah. We're talking

It does, because the statement “the cure should not be worse than the disease” insinuates we’re overreacting.

Ugh. My 2018 i9 has been freezing randomly recently. I actually rushed to install the most recent update hoping it would fix the freezing. It hasn’t and now I gotta worry about this. I regret upgrading to Catalina. Nothing but problems sinc

You have a point. We should have been aggressively testing at the start. Imagine if we had thrown the same amount of effort and money into initial testing as we are economic relief now. We'd still be open for business! But our leadersh

False. We’re a bunch of mostly self centered individualist who don’t like being told what to do and don’t trust facts, ideas, opinions, or people that contradict our preconceived notions.
