I can say the exact same thing about you or anybody else. You can’t be patient, understanding, encouraging, non-judgmental tutor. You can only simulate it. I really can’t understand why people don’t understand this. What am I missing?

You have about 50% of HN thinking LLMs are useless and you’re commenting on an article about how it’s still magical and wishful thinking, and that this is crypto all over again. But sure, the problem is me, not the people with a poor model

im glad I don’t have to work with you too lol. It’s not toxic for me to expect someone to get their work done in a reasonable amount of time with the tools available to them. If you’re an accountant and you take 5X the time to do something

I’m a tech lead and I have maybe 5X output now compared to everybody else under me. Quantified by scoring tickets at a team level. I also have more responsibilities outside of IC work compared to the people under me. At this point I’m askin

This awful advice can’t be blanket applied and misses the point: starting from zero is extremely easy now with LLMs, the last 10% is the hardest part. Not only that, if you don’t start from zero you aren’t able to build from whatever you th

Europe is now helping out in Ukraine a lot and buying thousands of Raytheon missiles to do so. Come back to reality friend, nobody is alienated.

you don't have to squint to see reality. saddam is gone and there was a regime change. that's it. that's what we were talking about. no need to go into other areas of the conversation that didn't exist before you came al

"just like it didn't happen in korea, vietnam, iraq1, iraq2, yemen and afghanistan." that's a fancy retelling of history you got there. MILLIONs died in those wars and less than 100K US troops died. Out of those wars, ir

I'm old enough to remember that Iraq had its entire government toppled in about 3 weeks after the US invasion so this is not the example you think it is lol. You conveniently redefined what we are talking about. You must not remember s

But ideas are not always additive. It's okay that ideas are competitive and it's okay to try and shut down bad ideas. Easy to find examples. If someone was proposing to extinguish a group of people, would you try to "add"

You don't seem to understand that the government of Iran isn't going to exist in about 2 weeks. This was their only leverage in negotiation. Trump is about to make a speech in 30 minutes. It's over for them. The US does not j

In most HN LLM Programming discussion there's a vocal majority saying LLMs are useless. Now we have this commenter saying all they need to do is vibe and it all works out. WHICH IS IT?

You're trying it out with literally the expectation that it can read your mind and do what you want with no effort involved on your part. So basically you're not trying it out. Please just put it down, you have nothing interesting
