Thirded. Wacky, but far from mindless, comedy in easily digestible morsels. Also, the English version is probably a translator's master-work.

Looking good. I was curious about encryption of stored data (e.g. Wuala does, Dropbox doesn't). There's a straight answer in the FAQ, https://one.ubuntu.com/help/faq/are-my-files-stored-on-the-s... : Are my files stored on the server enc

The illustration reminded me of a story, seventy years old this month, by Robert A. Heinlein ( "—We Also Walk Dogs" , http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E2%80%94We_Also_Walk_Dogs ): "Want somebody murdered? Then DON'T call General Services. B

The press has been drumming it up for the Opel Ampera (european badge of the Chevy Volt), but I don't think they're being delivered yet. My local Opel site has a configurator (mostly paint job ;-) with prices (over 40k euro). Bumped into an

I just hit the BN page ( http://www.barnesandnoble.com/nookcolor/index.asp ) to check for international shipping - seems they do it - and noticed this blinker: "Save 15% on One Item. Use Coupon Code T9P8A9P Through July 25!". I suppose i

Scientists have known since the mid-1930s that water wrinkles do not form if the nerves in a finger are severed, implying that they are controlled by the nervous system. That is the amazing part, if it's not a merely mechanical process. A

In Europe, they also sell the 3GS limited to 8GB storage. In its heyday, the 3GS was only sold in 16 and 32 GB versions. Note that all the software for the iPhone 4 (except for a few apps that require front-cam, flashlight or gyroscope) als

Looks very nice, and seems made by people smart enough to make the software multi-platform (Linux/Mac/Windows) and ship to (most of) Europe without customs hassles. Haven't fiddled with hardware lately, but I'm tempted to get one for old ti

Let's see how it goes with tying MacOS installs to iTunes accounts, which is the practical outcome of "via Mac App Store only" for the 10.7 release. I suspect it will raise enough hackles.

Thanks, but there's a bug in your code/results - for example, 1011 does not converge to 0, it does hit 6174 in 5 steps. Only 1111, 2222, etc. yield 0. I suspect the handling of 3-digit values. I also slipped there at first ;-)
