Apps do send metrics from the process itself. Dropwizard metrics comes to mind. Wonder what timing RCE is waiting to happen there.

But where does it get used? I mean the loading of a remote class on an LDAP server. Was this an opt-in or is it like properly baked in?

So how was it detected now? Who reported it first and what were they looking for?

This is what has me scratching my head. What is the usecase that somebody is using LDAP to load remote classes? I am your run of the mill CRUD developer but I haven't had to load remote classes ever. Is this some framework level stuff?

I think a little more deliberation on Kissinger, Murdoch and Mattis’s life is in order.

I guess this is so that something like this can be asked in interviews to test how lucky the candidate is on that particular day and hour. Otherwise everybody would pass the interviews.

Are these in the order of difficulty to implement/manage/complexity? A list like this would help for what to try next if my interviewer is not convinced. They never seem convinced though. :(

This looks like one solution but I don’t think you want this design in medicine slot booking or stock selling. You want it to be much more definite if there is no way for a conflict to be resolved. This solution won’t work there.

Well then the problem moves a little to the left. If there are x seats to be booked up front and y seats to be allocated later. How many times can each of the x seats be booked and how do you prevent that n and n+1 over the limit booking fo

Wouldn’t the attendant be in trouble if two people at the gate start fighting for the same window seat as printed on their ticket?

Well, sure. But what if you want to avoid such a scenario? Two people booking vaccine slots shouldn’t be allowed the exact same slot. They are going to be pissed realising one of them reached the center but didn’t get the vaccine.

So what do you propose here? I see that stackoverflow mentions some preemptive locking for a seat in cache for a few minutes. During that time the seat is taken out of the pool for potential booking. If the time lapses without the seat gett

I have been asked this question in interviews for how to prevent two people from booking the same seat. Interviewers don’t seem to be satisfied by the answer that I will let the query go to the database and see who ends up booking. They wan

Isn't python's server blocking? If you make two requests simultaneously, one of them will have to wait.

I am curious. Most of the monitoring stacks include something like telegram/Prometheus to collect metrics and send to influxdb. How would you do this via email?

And then you try navigating an Akka Framework based source with their ask pattern. No way to navigate where the control flow would go with inheritance in the mix.

Sorry, I meant low fan out, as in a b-tree node will end up have having a lot of singular valued children ultimately degrading to linked list.

Does random UUID work as well as lets say an ordered integer id or ordered uuid? I thought the ids should have a definite order(not necessarily sequential) so that a binary search can be performed on the primary index. Similar for b-trees.
