I'm not surprised by this anymore. They've gone from full anti-trust lawsuit for Internet Explorer, to just riding the cliff edge of what they believe they can get away with. See: Skype, Teams installer, Office. This will continue

The 72F3 was made almost specifically for this use case, though it's comparable (and may even fall behind per-core) to the Xeon 8356H.

If I don't have to open up a work laptop to check an email or copy a couple of spreadsheet cells into a reply, and can spend more time with family, I wouldn't call that stupid. Many companies aren't in a position to hand out

Anecdotally, I'm one of them. If I have a mint chocolate chip craving, nothing else you give me will work out for us. It doesn't even have to be good, just the right stuff.

You have to do this on your router, so it's model-specific. Searching "<your router model> Pi-hole redirect" will likely turn up something of assistance.

I believe the IoT distinction is that the platform reports to a cloud service, where parts of that are implemented as SaaS, if only for SSO and remote management. I think this is a fairly loose definition though if the underlying device dat

Windows XP can be considered a mature operating system and is barely usable online today. It could be that a new technology renders some major components and standards obsolete. It’s simply not comparable to mechanical engineering. It’s eve

Not to take away from your point but I think you mean to say Starlink - it's a separate company. Governments could block sales of the customer equipment, but once they're in it would be almost impossible to locate and confiscate t

That seems optimistic, the M1s were already discounted $65-150 earlier this month. I think the decider here would be simply having an M1 if your workloads benefit from it.

Other articles have made reference to the cells using wireless communication, reducing space needed for signal wiring while this article talks about a reduction in cobalt. I see nothing about how energy dense they’ve managed to make it, 200

What I was getting at but forgot to include in my comment. Unfortunately it’s still a distant dream of mine that all carriers, fixed or mobile, would simply provide a dumb pipe billed based on max throughput and nothing more.

I don’t see any evidence for the headline’s claim, other than, “they have been updating the same apps on Android since then.” For all we know the update is under review, or there simply isn’t one - some Gmail iOS app updates have been a mon

That's a terrible analogy. Apple offers products and services to customers who with to pay for them. The CCP controls a region. With respect to the rest of your shotgun-spray of a commend, a similar argument could be made against peopl

Thanks for responding. I think you need to back up your claims that iOS lacks testing (really?) and has a poor user experience (a very subjective claim) a bit further. The only point I really agree with is the incoming call unavoidably taki

The author is a self-described "Android Engineer", so I doubt the claimed authenticity of switching to iOS for anything more than wanting to write a list of complaints. I've seen far more pressing arguments made against iOS.

They were awaiting this review. They could've designed it to butt up against a $400 setup and sold a similar number of units. Given the current limitations on Siri and AirPlay this could even out the criticism, especially from the usua

There is still risk involved in that growth, and an Apple purchase might be the exit some investors are looking for. Hard for anyone not at the table to say what the outcome will be.

More subjective journalism. We have 3 ways to listen to music from our phones, and Apple wants to remove the oldest technology. Who still cares about the 30-pin connector? I'm happy to lose the headphone jack as I use Bluetooth in both
