Shift+Shift on Jetbrains IDEs. The best search feature by far. It fuzzy searches text, symbols, settings, actions, it also works with synonyms. No need to fiddle through settings.

Good idea. With the prevalent issue of positive review spam, I often look for negative reviews first to see a thoughtful one where the buyer actually used the item, rather than the flood of positive "reviews" of short-term usage.

I mount my storage boxes as CIFS volumes, but random access latency is high, and I can't do multiple heavy IO operations concurrently. It's best suited for use as a backup drive. Is there a faster way to mount storage boxes? I sup

Simon keeps his TIL (today I learned) blog as a way to take notes mainly for himself, from what I understand. I like the way he documents everything in Github issues[0]. I learn a new thing or two with every release of Datasette, because th

Caddy 1 docs felt handcrafted for each use case it supports, whereas Caddy 2 documentation feels generated, except for a couple of pages, which is enough to cover 99% of my needs.

I love & use caddy for proxying to Docker containers + other services running outside Docker. I wish there were an easier way to bind docker ports to Caddy automatically (without using dokku et al.), but for now I maintain a Caddyfile.

I like fish shell's approach: [Alt]+[E] prepends the command with `sudo`. So you hit arrow up to bring up the last command, then [Alt]+[E] to sudo-ify it.

From a language design perspective, is it easier to build a compiler that considers `;` or newline as the end-of-statement operator, or one that works like Lua, where statements can appear anywhere?

I love Typer, it's my go-to tool for building CLIs, but I'm worried about its future. It's developed by a single developer, there are too many issues left unattended, no development for months, lacking a good API to extend it

Huh. I wasn't aware of this vector. My servers only have `root` and my own sudo user, (and other default system users). I also run all apps on Docker. I don't think this would be an issue for me.
