I agree. I have spent in the low thousands with USPS shipping books and goods and the experience is copasetic along with receiving mail and packages. By comparison, UPS and Fedex are often the source of unpleasant surprises for me as a reci

Re. vote, too often people forget (in the US) to vote in the primaries of the dominant political party in their area. Given how gerrymandering ensures that a given political party nearly always wins a given region, voting in the primary is

I think a static site generator sounds useful. Not only for viewing when one is without one's apps, but also for sharing as you say.

That is correct. I use Firefox as my normal mobile browser and opening new tabs for links was what I was familiar with. I haven't missed this too much with Firefox Focus (I actually use Firefox Klar from F-Droid, which is the German va

I have really come to appreciate this browser even though I have been using it for just about a month. It is fast and clean. Clicking links from email and knowing they will open in effectively a private browser instance is a great feeling.

I feel that with gerrymandering and all of the democracy anti-patterns that have been developed in the US, shaming is the only source left for an increasingly disempowered electorate.

Well, not necessarily during a bathroom break (sometimes, I just don't multitask) but I use Cool Reader, which is an eReader app. My phone contains all of the books that I have, some of which I haven't read yet, and I use the app

You have a good point. I am very grateful to Cyanogenmod and Lineage OS and contribute what I can - it really puts the vendor junkware with its non-removable bloatware to shame. I once wrote a giant rant on XDA Developers after spending a l

I agree. I am currently using my 2011/12 vintage Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (albeit as a play phone) with Lineage OS (Android 7.x) and it works pretty good. Batteries are getting harder to find but still available. It works great.

Cyanogenmod used to offer this option on their ROMs. I haven't checked LineageOS to see if a similar option is offered.

Remember that offering is not quite the same as available. From your link, it seems that Ford offered this as a package starting in 1956 for some models and it did not sell well [1]; some accuse it of making a half-hearted effort. However,

I am not sure about that. Seat belts were not mandated in the 50s so a crash resulted in significant passenger movement. Metal dashboards with bayonet knobs tended to cause significant damage based on my reading. I noticed that you put the
