Also, for people into that sort of thing, a V8 has more value for a collector than a V6 just by virtue of rarity.

You are right - that should work well as well I believe due to its 6s internals. It's a good idea too: in the US the SE can be found even cheaper than the 6s.

I don't think so unfortunately - the cellular watches are weird in that they must be on the same cellular network as the associated iphone. The recipe I suggested above works with the non-cellular version of the watch and counts on bei

The first watchOS version that had this monitoring built-in seemed to be prone to false positives. However, the watch first asks you if you are ok and if you do not acknowledge so in a few seconds, then it dials out.

As I mention above, the way I did this was to buy a low-cost/locked/unactivated iPhone 6s and paired the watch to it. It thus provides in-home monitoring of such events; I can confirm that it works well since it got inadvertently

I did this for my mom, who also refuses to switch to an iPhone. I got a cheapo/locked/unactivated 6s and paired the watch (non-cellular) to it. It gives me some peace of mind that at least it covers her at home; there have been a

I recall that in Android if an app doesn't release control of the camera then no other app can access it until the phone is rebooted. I suspect this is what was happening here. AFAIK, it isn't a bug with the phone hardware etc. ju

I am surprised to read this: his patenting of the stock ticker and the two-way telegraph is listed on Wikipedia as the key to his fortunes. Do you mean "worthwhile" as in wrt. society or for him?

This rings true to my anecdotal experience: was driving a badly plastidip-ed car in a politically red neighborhood and was falsely stopped for not signaling right; I had, but I prefer not being shot so I expressed general confusion when con

Umm, sort of - without employment, one will likely lose any health insurance that one might have had and with that can follow financial ruin. "Lives of quiet desperation" is a fairly accurate description.

I use voip.ms in a similar capacity but with a much simpler/adequate setup. My problem is that certain senders (banks, credit card companies, etc.) are unable to text the number in question. Is Anveo better in this regard?

I like and have used Google reviews for a while after having had enough of Yelp's issues, to the point where I removed my many reviews from Yelp. However, I think Google has a ways to go to remove junk reviews. For example, 'Bague

The fuel crisis of the 70s resulted in us 'going backwards' successfully by trading in the useless land yachts for less massive cars. The 70s is considered a miserable decade by motorheads ime but it eventually led to better cars

Broken, but very very common, IME. All of the agile-phile places that I have had the misfortune to interact with had things like sprint commitments, and etc. Very abusive and quite the opposite of 'people over process'.

Often badly-placed floormats could also cause this issue. I remember a few automaker recalls in the prior decade that comprised of adding hooks to the floor boards to avoid floormat movement.
