I think of this as ~writing a story in which the agent helps us achieve our goals. The prompters don't tell the LLM stories because they think "someone" is in there, but because they need to write the LLM into the place it ca

Is providing dependencies part of your problem domain? (I've done a little work on shell script dependencies in the Nix ecosystem.)

I generally like the new code search, but I've got one big gripe: there's no way to sort code results by any kind of proxy for recency. The old code search had the ability to sort by indexed date. This wasn't perfect, but it

Would be interesting to see expert analysis, but I imagine it's really hard to know how every player will react. As (if?) likelihood of a demand collapse increases, I imagine some fraction of potential suppliers with ~easy/cheap o

dang does a great job, but I don't think it's enough to qualify (anymore). HN's indexed, registration is open, and its size/influence have grown enough that I regularly see people here trying to grind ideological axes. I

I had a little thought a while back about using names that express why you're doing something in order to make it a little more obvious to the monkey when we're over abstracting something that might just be incidentally similar.

I find reading, writing, and programming can each be incredibly generative in their own ways. I haven't measured its effectiveness, but I like rotating the intellectual crops, as it were. I (at least subjectively) feel most-generativ

The post I linked focuses on standalone executable dependencies, but the same concept applies to libraries. If you want a quick example, you can look at how: - shellswain depends on a little trap-namespacing library called comity: https:&#
