Anyone know how to get the code in this article to work inside zsh? When I try to run the wiki executable, I get a command line error: "zsh: exec format error: ./wiki.com" When I try it in bash, the server starts right up.

Tons of them, but I am most interested in the following for various reasons: PureScript[1] — been around a long time. Looks a lot like Haskell to me. Derw[2] — Elm-like, interesting integration with Typescript Amber[3] — smalltalk for js Re

I am particularly interested in this project that transpiles to TypeScript: https://github.com/eeue56/derw

I installed PopOS (I know there’s some absurd punctuation involved in the name but I don’t remember what it is) on my 5 year old MacBook Pro and it feels like a brand new machine. The UX feels better to me than MacOS which is starting to fe

I’ve been using React ever since that David Nolan article and ridiculed Ember all the way. Now I’m wondering if maybe I need to give it another look.

imo this was definitely true in my experience before typescript/solid ide support. With tsc and vscode, prop drilling has started to make a lot more sense to me.

I gave it a shot. Easy to set up, though I couldn’t clear some typescript errors that come from their code examples. This might be the thing that gets me into making 3d on the web.

from the article: "So, to go back to our misconception: props have nothing to do with re-renders."

This is not what love is. It is merely a list of words for qualities that are sometimes recognized while experiencing love.

This looks excellent. I see a lot of potential in the idea of combining the strengths of RTK(+Query) and XState. Thank you for sharing!

Agree. I am working on a side-project and using XState for local state management, and Jotai (with Immer) to send that state to various components in my app. It is working really well and mitigating unnecessary rerenders. More moving parts

As far as I can tell, class components are not deprecated and still featured prominently in the official React docs. Did you mean something else?

Not sure about the suggestion to "drop the therapy"—if op's current therapy isn't helping so much, a different therapist/approach can make all the difference in the world. It took a lot of time for me to discover th

To me, it looks a lot like TailwindCSS but with fewer constraints. I tend to appreciate Tailwind's constraints, as it makes it easier (for me) to fall into the pit-of-success when trying to design layouts with consistent padding/m

This is a little heartbreaking. The world just got a shade darker so that a few people could become a lot richer (I assume).

It’s not perfect though. The only reason I’m not using preact is that my front-end library of choice, react-aria, does not work 100% with preact, though it sounds like it might now be close (unsure). https://react-spectrum.adobe.

Any chance you could share an example in a codesandbox? I realize that might be asking a lot, so no worries, but I'm super curious to see it.

I wonder how Remix ranks next to Blitz.js[1] or Redwood.js[2]. They seem like they're all trying to do similar things. [1] https://blitzjs.com/ [2] https://redwoodjs.com/

+1 to this. It makes a lot of sense with a component-based library or framework like React, Svelte, etc. I've never been more productive, and its a bit of a bummer to work on projects that aren't using this kind of thing. I enjoy
