p.s. I found I had to use 'data.crossref.org' instead of 'dx.doi.org' when I scripted it (python + requests). Not sure why exactly (doi was redirecting to crossref anyway).

For interest, you can do something like this on the command line using curl. Try these: curl -LH "Accept: text/bibliography" "http://dx.doi.org/10.1017/S0022112061000019" curl -LH &quo

My counter hypothesis is that children can't possibly conceive the amount of information an adult has to keep track of day to day. What if we distinguish first language acquisition as a special process? If you don't acquire a lang

Wikipedia distinguishes between first and second language acquisition (FLA, SLA). FLA is done by children. SLA is done by children and adults. The critical period hypothesis is that SLA is age dependent and can only be done properly as a ch

On the other hand, children have little else to do but absorb new information and they take a good number of years doing it. Adults have a load of responsibilities that they have to occupy their minds with. Compared to the carefree oblivion

It depends what motivates you and where you want to be in 4 years. There are far easier ways to earn money in the long term than doing a PhD. A PhD gives you 4 years* of relative freedom to build yourself intellectually within some rough bo

It does away with the need for a separate matrix type. When you are using numpy (most imported non stdlib library according to the pep!) and you have two arrays a and b, a * b is elementwise multiplication. numpy currently has a matrix type
