This seems like it will be a shutdown for the history books. It seems crazy to me airlines can just shut down like this overnight, stranding thousands of travelers. Wow!

I still feel guilty about it every time we recount this story. I remember exactly where I was (on the top bunk) when mom shared the bill with me. I think she had me dial into the number to show her how it worked. To their credit, Nintendo d

Happy holidays HN. I love today's Christmas css. I thought I'd pop in and post NanaGram one last time, for people who need a last-minute Christmas gift for their grandparents. NanaGram is a service that lets you send printed photo

Hi HN — Alex, the guy from the video here. Many people are giving NanaGram as a gift for the holidays and it warms my heart. This product is near and dear to me. While NanaGram is in the business of printed photos, my real goal is to bring

I find one of the most useful and basic aspects of Facebook is sharing photos. I launched NanaGram ( https://nanagram.co ) a little over a year ago to try and bring my 94-year-old grandparents into the fold. It's a service th

I feel like the best audience for the product is elderly people. The Portal has a serious shot and helping to fight isolation and loneliness. The downside of the Portal is giving up a bit of privacy. Isolation with elderly is such a big pro

I had some fun writing this post over the past few days, especially revisiting the time my grandma became Reddit famous. She's turning 95 this week.

While it's not a perfect match to your question, YC has been putting out so many amazing videos during Startup School the past few weeks which you might want to check out if you haven't already. For example: https://www

Thank you for the mention. My quantum-of-one [0] was my late 94-year-old grandfather [1]. My brother and I gave NanaGram to him for his birthday. (Well, really it was a quantum of two because my grandmother also loves getting photos in the

That was one of the initial things I was unsure of back when this was more of a side project. I sent the first batch of images from my siblings to print locally, unsure how they'd look. Surprisingly they looked pretty awesome even thou

I tried finding a confirmation / "you're done" email from them but can't find it, so I'm not sure how long it took. I did end up getting the SV bank hooked up but haven't moved everything over there yet.

This is very nice of you. I'm due to visit my 94-year-old grandma tomorrow and will be printing this out and showing it to her. Cheers.

I used them a few months ago, before startup school. I can't remember the turnaround time as I had a wedding on the horizon and that time is a blur, but I remember it being reasonable and delightful. It's totally worth the price.
