I think I could actually build what I was thinking of on top of basis, but need to think about some things. Serialization of internal state was kicked around as a design idea at the start, but didn’t see enough benefit back then. In any cas

I miss working in Lua. Metatables are pretty powerful, and "everything is in a table" made it super easy to do hot reloading. At one point working on an iOS game, I had things set up so that when I hit save on my PC, my phone woul

This is neat, though some of it (mutable defaults for example) are already covered by existing linters. I’d also look into pre-commit support as well.

I feel a little bit nerd sniped - halfway through the article I wanted to cry out "but the loop!" and then they moved the loop. Nice job, I'm super excited to use this in my own code. I have a bunch of handwritten metadata ab

I think it's reading into a lot into OPs comment. A lot of people look somewhat fondly on dumb/slightly illegal things they did as a teen, even if they would never do such a thing as an adult (nor encourage it in current teens). T

I had to set one of these up somewhat under duress to replace a poorly written scheduled query to export data to BigQuery. It’s nice to know what it’s actually doing under the hood, thanks for the info.

Gemini in GCP for SQL queries is mildly useful, as I’m rusty and forget how to write but generally know enough not to run a query that mutates the db.

In this case it was a very common swap, 6550->EL34 for Marshall JMP 50W. I ended up going for it (the existing tubes were damaged), it sounds great.

I had a 1971 Marshall tube amp land in my lap, for free. I'm not a guitar player, but wanted to get it fixed it up before either selling it or learning guitar. There's a lot of "magic" there - the amp guy asked if I want
