The same fee per transaction, not the same amount. If one transaction is $1M and the other is $1 why would the first pay more for the same service? It is not just about Patreon btw.

Disagree. Percentages are absolutely unfair and baseless.

I dont understand how these middleman services can charge even 1%. What is the value added? edit: Also, why is it always a percentage? A transaction is a transaction, independent of the amount. A fixed cost. I'm probably ignorant, but

Thanks! Could you shed some more light on how one actually takes a gene from a plant (in a lab setting I suppose) and put it into yeast?

There was a comment on HN which I keep thinking about. What is the value of expensive testing when you are promptly alerted of critical problems and can deploy in under a minute? Obviously not applicable for every scenario, but at this poin

Why would it be intrinsic? Somewhere in their evolution they must have been introduced for some reason I would guess. Also, they could be removed the same way if there is no benefit distinguishing between a masculine and feminine table.

What is the benefit of genders anyway? Especially when gender neutral alternatives are available. It never made much sense to me, they introduce a lot of complexity for very little. Worse, nowadays you have all the problems of misaddressing

So one of them rounded up? I don't have hands on experience with kubernetes and a quite a bit skeptical because of its supposed complexity. Would be interested in success stories though where kubernetes magic was the much needed secret

Those implications not even look that scary to me. Otoh I saw enough marketing fakes/mock ups to be skeptical on this one. For example my takeaway from OpenAI five was that the bots outmicrod the human players with little more to it.
