If I load up youtube with an adblocker it shows me the video I clicked, if I don't have an adblocker it shows me a 3 minute ad.

Or Google is actually scared. We have been hearing for years how adblocking is not an issue to be addressed, yet they are desperate to put the adblocking genie back into to bottle.

What is an easier solution to improving browsing experience, performance and security than blocking ads? Don't you think a simple extension like ublock demonstrates a whole paradigm shift in browsing experience? One that moz:/

Are they that cash strapped? IIRC moz://a had an agreement with yahoo which they terminated just so they can sign with Google. The real irony imo of FF being considered the alternative browser, but not actually competing against

I don't think there is a hard stance on bundles, after all moz://a integrated Pocket into Firefox just fine. Nevertheless, it could be due to personal opinions, but catering to your main commercial partner's business mod

Regardin principle 4 I don't quite agree, if that was the interpretation we would had something like ublock in core FF years ago. It is very clearly not a technical problem. As for principle 5 I do not hold my breath but hope you are r

I don't think there is anything about that in moz://a's manifesto, but maybe my interpretation is wrong. On the other hand, Google being their main source of revenue they are indirectly funded by ad money too. Commercia

Complaint is this is not happening at all. In fact, they would need to require an opt-in consent, not presenting obfuscated opt-outs which do not even work. It really does not help we have tables with few hundred companies listed.
