I'm so happy to see this progress in the mainstream's view of programming skill. My dream is that some day coding will be like driving a car: pretty much everyone can do it for their daily needs, and those interested can take it to a profes

And neither have anything to do with shyness. "Think before you speak" is still very important advice, and then if you prefer to not raise hostility, do it because you chose so not because of shyness.

That sounds ridiculous now but it's actually not that bad when you get used to it. Besides, people would likely still keep the month names to refer roughly (if not even exactly) to periods of the year. The real benefit would be in dropping

I can testify to this, I have pretty low self-discipline in the sense that I find it very hard to force myself to do something I don't want to do. When I do manage to build a habit or a routine though, I find it pretty easy to stick to it.
