We just push bug fixes now for the legacy app. The roadmap of legacy apps from Google is still not clear. I would strongly suggest the packaged app way for multiple reasons (folders, in-built documentation, syncing, real-time sharing, tests

Postman can do both. Run in a sandbox or inside Chrome using Postman Interceptor.

Postman founder here. Postman let's you run tests outside of Postman through the newman tool (free) [1]. Just take collections outside Postman and run them anywhere you want. Collections can have Javascript scripts embedded inside them

Will have something which will solve this and much more very soon. I tried different alternatives (Drive/Dropbox) but none of them fit the amount of flexibility I wanted to have with collections.

The earlier app ran as a "legacy" Chrome app. Chrome has deprecated those style of apps and it's not accepting new submissions for legacy apps. I can only push updates now. The newer style Chrome apps run in a sandbox and ha

I like httpie but the app can do a lot more than sending requests now (which you might not be able to do in a CLI tool). You can write tests and run a bunch of requests together to simulate different scenarios: http://www.getpost
