If someone sells 100 billion USD of bitcoins, the rest won't be worth 900 billion USD any more. A market price does not work that way. The rest would probably be worth another 100 billion or nothing at all. The price would drop even wh

The de facto default chat software is probably WhatsApp, or perhaps Telegram if your group of people lives in the german alternative scene (or, placed from germany, perhaps more eastern countries?). But default group chat could well be Disc

I meant star hierarchy (server, everyone else is a client) versus peer to peer network requirements. Not group call vs one on one call types.

I only read about video sharing in a group, not every-user-to-every-user calls. Which easily eats up a lot of bandwith (, at least on the server if that is the place that pre-renders all video tiles together for lower network load in sum).

For me, no data is either NaN or zero, but +infinity is was the astounding part. Also, for some languages, not failing with an exception when comparing different strong types, could be a source of bugs, generally.

Why do we need smart contracts and a blockchain in there, do distributed databases not offer this at either better security or performance?

"nil is greater than any integer", that was astounding. Which languages have a no-data is bigger than max_int rule?

Scientists estimate that 50-80% of the oxygen production on Earth comes from the ocean. So yes, phytoplancton is an MVP. Good thing we won't kill life in the ocean any time soon due to climate change, rather only some of it.

As with every complex problem, nuclear is a flawed option, but one that offers small advantages for a limited timeframe. Gas and nuclear will not be discarded for years. Real world applications are rarely “either/or”, but more of a mar

Isn’t strada a running app? And also the name of Google’s gaming streaming service? And probably 5 other things that have higher search priority on PageRank? What is Hotwire , though?

Meat very slightly causes cancer. Saturated fats reduce your life expectancy, too. Not that good advice I guess?

For me, the internet works like this: you find a link on social media. A cookie banner or paywall prevents me from reading the article. So I read the comments section. Nice shooting yourself in the foot, original content creator.

Did not have that idea when I read the title. Then again, I accept every view of inflation as just another well-intentioned guess as to what that actually is, since nobody can agree as to why we actually observe it IRL. For me that applied

Technically correct title: Decarbondioxiding construction industry. Well but not just, it's the carbon cycle. So any sink for carbon is decarbonising.

For germans like me, IFVs and armored artillery cars are tanks. If every tank was an MBT, why add „main battle“ to the word at all? So I think there are subtypes of tanks when we have subtypes of panzers.

I also had the feeling that there just were one or two years where I got nothing done at a normal speed. Thinking about a pandemic or a third world war really bugs people out, taking them out of a creative mind mode, I guess.
