I did read the problem statement, but I thought tee was writing to all files in parallel. It's surprising that there seems to be no way to achieve that.

Also, did anyone solve their "canine challenge"? It seems to me that what they're asking for is "tee FILE... > /dev/null", but maybe I'm missing something?

OK, and it seems that those algorithms only take the grayscale into account. Compare http://paste.fulltxt.net/:gh (your output) with http://paste.fulltxt.net/h-,:wiS (aalib's output). This probably isn't the best choice of image, but yo

I wonder which algorithm you're using? From very quick testing, it looks like you're picking characters to represent various grayscale values, but I'm not sure that you're taking the shape of the characters into account like other converter

The problem isn't getting ssh access (Cyanogen ships with the dropbear ssh server), but getting decent userland tools and possibly some form of package management. This is hard precisely because Android doesn't obey the LSB and assumes that

Mediawiki is indeed a very poor substitute for a VCS, and things could probably be improved. For example, there once was a project to store Wikipedia articles using git as a backend: < https://github.com/scy/levitation> .
