I'm also not sold on household 3D printers. Maintaining and operating a 3D printer would be a hassle. But retail-level printers? That's a no-brainer. I'm certain people would be willing to accept a reasonable mark-up to have

I avoid travel to the US where possible. But when I do I opt out of their scanners. I figure that if my privacy is going to be violated anyway to enter the States, at least I want to look the person in the eye while they do it.

I'm a developer who does take on side projects. I have two on the go right now, plus I'm the technical reviewer for an upcoming book. Yet, I agree with this entirely. I think it's silly to expect a "good" developer

Let's see if I remember my high school physics. Making all sorts of assumptions and simplifications here: F = mv / dt (equation of impulse for zero final velocity) F = mg (newton's laws) mg = mv/dt g = v/dt 9.8 = v&

I've seen people bring up basic income when such concerns are raised. I myself am undecided on how effective it would be, but it seems like now is a good time for conversation on the matter to begin. So am I. It's a fascinating

The same way you spot other cargo cults: look at the team's processes critically. Start from the basics, with the Agile Manfiesto. It's well summarized on the Wikipedia page here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/

To be fair to your mates, a lot of places that claim to do 'Agile' do a shit job at it. It turns into a cargo cult where they wrap their bad practices in Agile lingo to make them sound good. I've seen that happen a lot at var
