Frankly, a 2021 opinion piece doesn’t tell you anything about the state of remote work. So much has changed in the last three years. CEOs and companies have adapted, and in my anecdotal experience, lots of employees as well. Notably those w

These court rulings mainly rely on laws around freedom of expression which sometimes contain some quirks around the possibility of being able to prove something. The courts didnt declare AfD politicians fascists.

If you vote for fascists - whose lead candidates seem to be spying for Russia and China - because of a 17€ license fee per month, then you should reevaluate your perspective on the public broadcasting system and on money.

You have to pay a fee if you live in Germany. It does not matter what kind of technology you have access to in theory. Thank god the German state does not have to check whether or not you have to own a TV.

It's not that surprising to see China's PLA create their own Pegasus-style program. The focus on iOS is also not too surprising, given that most high value targets are potential Apple customers. I'm not sure if this speaks to

Interesting, I did not know this. The actual anonymity of crypto currencies aside, it's good to see these kind of businesses do still exist.

Is it fair to assume, that one can engage in a business relationship with these services outside the US? I'm not sure I see the effect that you are implying. AWS, GCP, Azure don't accept crypto. Mullvad is as you point out not an

I'm not in favor of this rule, but it seems to me you are conflating several issues into one without showing the effect of the rule. Can you explain how the rule that would be implemented causes these effects? I do not see the connecti

The CISA report is definitely worth a read and so is questioning Microsoft's security posture. Comparing the incident to the xz attack doesn't make a whole lot of sense though.

Phishing campaigns barely do any good if they are well-prepared and accompanied with good communication in a company environment. Employees need to be aware of phishing tests and have to have a way of reaching out to those who conduct them.

There is nothing comparable to Microsoft Office. 99% of white collar employees globally know/have to know MS Office. Every government uses MS office. Every sector uses MS office. Who doesn’t use Office? Startups, creatives, scientists.
