In a sense they are the last frontier imo. At some point a harness will be built that can modify itself to fit the needs of the majority of people's workflows and evolve with them.

This is exactly how I work today. I've always lived in the terminal but typing bash commands anymore is way too much work and an LLM can produce way better one liners than I can.

You can't 100% spec something out in natural language without ending up with the actual code. The code is the natural language spec expressed with all the ambiguities removed.
