^^ This 10000x. Sure there are some nice comforts and features that will make life easier for the operator, but on the whole it's a massive step backwards in actual durability, utility and usability.

I would even go as far as saying the opposite - engineers too "competent" for their own good. I've walked in to so many code based where very talented individuals have made incredibly complex systems, using all their technica

Just a quick note - the "body" text on the page uses Alliance, also designed by the same studio I think ( https://degarism.com/Alliance ). The two fonts themselves are catered more towards headers / titles.

Going through the process to type certify the Max as anything other than a 737 would’ve been far more expensive, slow and painful for Boeing and all its customers because of how slow and difficult the FAA is. They added the MCAS because the

I think there is some context missing from this; The 5G band that was auctioned off is only one step next to the band used by radar altimeters - essentially a piece of equipment on aircraft that gives it its precise height above the ground.

I've been a member of ZipCar for well over a decade, from when they first came to London and issued the plastic NFC cards. Then it was the smaller ones that could attach to a keyring, and for the past 5 or so years - just the mobile ap

Think about a CD or an LP spinning; the outside is going a lot faster (it’s covering a lot more distance in the same amount of time) than the inside yet the RPM for both is the same. The earth is the same :)

Working from home, or remotely is not for everyone - neither is being in an office. Some folks thrive in an office environment, they value the things it provides - a schedule, a time, a reason to get up and out, socialising with others, bei

Depends on the size of the firm, and how much you interact with them. A local law office with 1-2 lawyers and a few assistants; likely $1000-1500 that’s held by them to put towards any future requirements. Larger firms range from $5000-2500

So exploit workers by bringing them from overseas, and treat them differently to the local laws? You’ve just described Qatar, Bahrain, UAE etc. Maybe reconsider why local labour is expensive and why it’s worth paying for.
