Will anyone be mad enough to adopt the next living corpse of tomorrow - WinJS?

Enjoy it while it lasts, Bootstrap/HTML and JS are so lame after XAML and C# :(.

They are a bit lame now - trying to adopt legacy stuff like HTML instead of fixing it with something nice like XAML.

I am a Microsoft fan but my thinking recently is like this: why WPF => why Windows => why Microsoft? If crappy HTML5 and JS are their agenda, then what's the point sticking to their ecosystem?

What they should do is recycle the freaking unused IDs. Also introduce follow/retweet-only accounts without IDs.

I wonder if they will also buy Xamarin and Unity3d to become the best cross-platform development solution.

Reminds me of https://bombermine.com . But for a not a fan of Minecraft like me kinda lacks a purpose. Impressive demo scene though - making things like that with just some scripts and a browser.

Nah, that's Terraria. Needs something better than scripts and a browser. Good for a demo though.

It is surprisingly reasonable. I wouldn't bring this up at any company though. It seems some people are pretty happy to be Adders but perhaps it is because they prefer becoming Multipliers in the business analysis in parallel? > Th

Unreal has the Blueprint scripting system though :). But I am not going to argue as I don't have enough of the relevant experience. Besides your About page has cleared my questions (AI plans are quite ambitious :)).

Looks like a dream project - so happy you can do it full-time! > VQUI can be hotloaded What else can be hotloaded? Do you use entity-component-system type of architecture? Any scriptable parts?

LOL, by locking us into using a limited set of flawed legacy scripting/markup languages?

Did you expect anything else from JS and HTML5? I mean it's an OS, not an interactive document.

CQRS/Event Sourcing sounds like a good idea, but not something easy to introduce into an enterprise, unlike e.g. packaging or micro-services.

Yes, but can you believe there exist people who think using just a few legacy ill-designed languages negating the years of progress is not just OK but dare to call this approach "open" as in "open web"?

Yes, the approach is a dead-end but the language is awesome.

This is why the so called "open web" that locks you to a few legacy languages must be fought with. Transpilation is not an answer. Luckily mobile is thriving, no problems using F# with Xamarin as a first-class citizen

Tomorrow, not today. Where do I slap some random forest in my enterprise DB+forms app? Now, for a high-level intelligent agent I would find a work.

Well, Nippon is better than Japan, but still not good enough. Minamoto is too specific. We will have to live with this.
