There is quite literally nothing "woke" about using "they" to refer to someone in a gender neutral way. That term is really overused nowadays. Either way, I suppose "he/she" could be used instead if that r

Every time I give DDG a try with a search it only gives me unrelevant results. Even unpersonalized Google results kind of suck for any specialized searches for me. I primarily use DDG for its bangs which I make heavy use of.

Personally I run Steam (and pretty much every other gaming related program) through an Arch container using distrobox[0] on my NixOS setup. It runs without any issues and integrates with my system very well. [0] https://github.co

I recently installed the Steam version (which in turn also installs Origin inside the prefix to run the game) and it ran just fine. Not sure what issue OP is hitting.

Windows definitely stalls less in those kinds of situations. I remember running both Windows and Linux on my old 2 core 4GB RAM laptop. On Windows I could have easily swapped out almost ten GB of memory and it'd still chug along, where

Box64 actually comes quite close to Rosetta in terms of translation speed and apparently that's with optimizations which have yet to be implemented[0]. Would make sense to just use that instead. [0] https://box86.org/20

Sure, not like GTA Online on PC is overrun with hackers anyways. Also I'm not sure how the source code would help people using aimbots?

Except not providing a headphone jack has been a clear regression. Other than saving the manufacturer a few pennies, what benefits do I get from not having one?

Ok so for the price of an equilevant high end PC I can buy a console and get around 5 years of online play out of it. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Not sure if I'm honest. Starting up steam through the terminal and launching the game doesn't give me anything indicating the reason in the logs, which is weird. I'm using Arch and tried both steam and steam-runtime already.

Absolute opposite experience for me. The native versions of Half-Life, Cities: Skylines and a bunch of other games refuse to start up at all for me for a few years now. Meanwhile I've been on the bleeding edge of Proton and I can count

I do. Websites now have to be upfront about their cookie usage and I can make the decision not to use that website (especially if they intentionally make rejecting them as much of a hassle as possible).

Wouldn't say there's a steep learning curve for the language itself, it's pretty easy to get a grasp around it imo. Here's a helpful page I used to quickly get familiar with the language: https://github.com&#x

I'm aware. I simply prefer Newpipe because it has roughly the same functionality, is more lightweight and is open-source (+ it's on F-Droid so I can easily update it along with all my other apps).
