Sorry, but those "defects" are perhaps a minor inconvenience as they require a bit more of typing, but don't prevent you to write code. While I agree that one would prefer to have less inconveniences - and part of the design

It evolved in two directions. On the one side, Turbo Pascal which constantly updated the language, added OOP later on. On the other side the development of the successors by Wirth, like Modula and Oberon. All of those were quite popular h

The thing is, the question doesn't really make sense. Yes you could design a closed system of solar production and battery storage, which delivers power 24/7. But that is not reasonable. Solar is only one part of the electricity s

Yes, it was always there. Even when you didn't need it. That is why Germany used to export more electricity and France is very happy to be able to sell any unused capacity. In the last year, nuclear capacity was only 5% of the peak lo

Because of the massive investment necessary, you cannot sell the energy profitably. It is just too expensive.

You are wrong. Germany can meet its energy demands. However, a lot of times it is cheaper to buy surplus energy from neighboring countries.

No, they don't. The French grid wouldn't have made it through 2022 without a lot of imports from Germany, as too many reactors were down for maintenande. They found a fault which concerned most reactors of that type. On top of tha

Germany added more than 10GW of solar alone this year, next years number will be probably significantly higher. That easily equals 1 nuclear power plant, even if you calculate extremely pessimistic. By going with solar (and of course wind),

Nope. If humanity were to create the large amount of energy from nuclear, uranium would run out within a century.

Nuclear is the worst companion to Solar+Wind. Why? Because nuclear is limited in regulation capacity (you need to keep the output at at least 40%) and also extremely expensive when not running at high capacity.

Besides that this number is high and there we are talking about only very high resolution films, the lenses limit the resolution. With the tiny lenses of those cameras, you wouldn't make good use of any large sensor. There is a reason

The problem is, just having TSMC not provide ICs for a couple of months would probably rip world economy apart. Yes, I think the west can absolutely pick up where TSMC right now is. The machines come from the Netherlands anyway. Intel has s

Compared to what modern 35mm cameras can deliver, these cameras had very bad resolution. Yes, you could build such a camera today with a 35mm sensor, but the results wouldn't really justify the effort. If you want good compact cameras,

They are not artificially limiting the number of external screens. To support more screens, they would have to reserve die area for an additional controller. That could mean a gpu less or something. This is about engineering tradeoffs.

I would be entirely happy with a 300ppi greyscale e Ink screen which has at least A4 dimensions. With USB-C input for power and video. Possibly just using DisplayLink instead of a video connection, as speed is not an issue.
